Sheila is a very experienced easy going horse who is 14.2 hands and approximately 13 years old. She seems to have training in the Western ring but due to arthritis in her back end we would like to see minimal ring work and more work on the trails, which is easier on her joints. She can be slightly testy at times but never unsafe. She seems to move out at a brisk pace on the trails and will trot to catch up or may want to trot home so would need someone who is experienced enough to keep her under control. She handles water and bridges fine on the trails and is getting used to going out alone. I have not done much canter work with her yet other than while lunging. We get the impression she may have been ridden pretty hard before coming to us so we are trying to take it easy by not pushing her too much and seeing what she is willing to do. If you are interested in Sheila, please fill out an adoption application found on our website so we have all of your info in one place. Adoption donation: $1200.
